Campus Thrift Store

Idea submitted by - Shanna O'Shea - Academic Upgrading

Mohawk’s thrift store could sell and collect used textbooks, clothing, electronics, small household items, school supplies and program specific items. Along with donations from students and staff, the college could also recycle the small items and electronics they upgrade and replace in the college by selling them in the thrift store.

The goal of the thrift store would be to promote sustainability on campus and encourage students, staff and the community to reduce waste by donating and buying second hand items.

This idea would save tons of waste from going to landfills and help to promote Mohawk College as a sustainable campus.
