Rainwater toilets

Idea submitted by: Ryan Jabs - Electrical Engineering

Thousands of dollars and countless liters of water are wasted every year in almost every building in the world, and Mohawk is unfortunately one of them. The two most used resources, electricity and water, come from the sky and can be harnessed to conserve resources as well as money. The water to flush toilets does not need to be clean, so mildly filtered rainwater collected from Mohawk's enormous roof could be used instead of city water.

This idea will provide great water savings at Mohawk College and will have lower than average startup costs.
