Reduce paper waste

Idea submitted by - Marin Hudson - Graphic Design

The Digital Print Learning Center in F-Wing is an amazing resource for graphic design students, but the facilities removing the paper waste are not doing so effectively. I propose working with facilities to improve this set up, finding a way to recycle the paper used in student labs, for projects, etc. more effectively. Additionally, some recycled paper that is still usable could be donated to the day care for colouring, to local schools or organizations...boxes made could even be used in a campus gift exchange or donation initiative around the holidays. There are so many ways we can recycle paper, so let’s give the DPLC a re-do and help them recycle the best we can!

This idea will reduce paper waste from one of the college’s greatest learning resources, making it a wonderful learning tool as well as a sustainable imitative on campus.
