Sewing Reusable Bags Workshops

Idea submitted by: Shane Varga - Business General

My idea to increase environmental sustainability at mohawk college is in an effort to reduce plastic bags use in the community. To host workshops at the college to show people and to make reusable bags. It would require sewing machines and eco friendly materials laid out at the campus with volunteers helping to sew Re-Usable bags for use in the grocery store. Students and faculty could donate $1-5 for each eco-bag with all proceeds going to charity Trees Canada (for every $1 donated a tree is planted)

This would reduce the amount of plastic used in our campus and community.
